LEATHER
HHF uses only top grain leather. Areas of leather absorb colorant differently, so some color variation may occur. Likewise, scars to the hide are not to be considered flaws, but add to the uniqueness of the item.
The leather should be cleaned every 6 -8 months with a mild leather cleaner. Afterwards, apply a leather protection cream.
As with wood and fabric, avoid placing the item near a heat source or in prolonged direct sunlight.
WOOD
Clean all wood surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Rub in the direction of the wood grain. Occasional use a non-caustic furniture polish.
The use of acetone base, caustic, and abrasive materials may be harmful to the finish and should never be used while caring for this product.
Always use coasters for hot items or drinks.
MARBLE
Marble is, somewhat surprisingly, naturally absorbent. Always use coasters for hot items or drinks.
Blot spills right away.
Occasionally clean with a soft cloth, mild dishwashing detergent and warm water. Use a good quality marble wax afterwards.
SCRATCHES
If scratches apear in wood, use a furiture "touch up" pen of a lighter color than the wood. More than one application may be needed to match the color correctly. A similar color crayon or shoe polish should also work.
Remember to initially clean or "touch up" a small, inconspicuous area to ensure that the finish will not be damaged. If you have questions, please consult a furniture care professional.
